    Spent the day helping family members move. Many times I stopped them from tossing usable items and set them aside for donation.

    I have been talking to several people about using less plastic for events and they agree asking other to bring reusable to events is a great idea.

    I was given the idea to use beeswax wrap in place of plastic wrap and sandwich wrap. The product may be more expensive at first, but it is reusable and seems easy to rinse and dry. Plus, you can find cute patterns! 😊

    Driving out of state today so I’m packing and using my stainless steel tumbler. What do you do for the duration of a trip? How do I avoid plastic bottles when we stop for gas and water?

    Rewatching some videos today that I viewed at the beginning of the challenge hit me differently now that I’ve learned so much about the pervasiveness of plastic. It has its place for good but in many ways is clogging everything up - including recycling plants!

    I'm happy to report that I convinced a coworker to fix a hose with a simple mender rather than throwing the entire thing away for a new one!

    To Stacy and Lauren we are on the same wavy link. Thank you for what you do to help this cause. When I watch a film on all that plastic found in the ocean it makes me wonder where it came from. So each time we pick up a tossed bottle or cup to recycle it help in a small way.

    I have spent a fair amount of time reading articles and watching videos on plastics and the body and our oceans. It's really eye opening about the potential long-term damage.
