Being a part of the corporate sustainability it felt great helping push the company to purchase reusables (i.e., plate, forks, bowl, etc) for all the offices. I have been an avid user and see other people around the office using them.

I volunteer with groups who say they don't have the resources to handle reusables...so I do what I can. That's why I have five dozen plastic champagne glasses in a bag in my living room. :) They were just going to be tossed (not even into a recycling bin!) after an event, so I collected them, brought them home, washed them, and stored them. The looks on the faces of the other train riders on my way home were priceless as folks reacted to the odor of alcohol.

I keep my reusable grocery bags near my front door so that I remember to grab them before heading to the store. Sometimes I won't have them if I end up needing to stop by the store on the way home from work or elsewhere, so in those cases I'll try to buy only what I can carry
