Understand plastic labels
Those recycling numbers and symbols can be confusing. I will spend 20 minutes learning what different plastic labels mean, including what can and can’t be recycled, to make more informed choices when I shop.

I joined the Beyond Plastic Ecochallenge because I deeply care about my community and am increasingly concerned about the presence of microplastics in our water — and ultimately, in our bodies. As someone who travels often, I’ve become keenly aware of how differently communities around the world are addressing (or not addressing) the issue of plastic pollution. This challenge is an opportunity for me to learn from others, raise awareness, and contribute to meaningful change both locally and globally.
